ANNUAL CONTACT LENS EXAM

A comprehensive eye exam by an eye doctor is required within one year of a contact lens evaluation to ensure continued eye health

The contact lens evaluation includes the measurement of the corneal curvature, ocular health assessment and contact lens trialing to ensure optimal fit, vision and comfort.

The contact lens assessment is not typically covered by insurance.

COSMETIC CONTACT LENSES

Cosmetic lenses provide the luxury of comfortable vision without the use of glasses.  Today’s advanced technology and health driven interests provide a standard of contact lens wear and care unique to each individual.  The optometric physician and the individual patient are vital in the decision making and fitting process.  Single vision, toric (for astigmatic correction) and multifocal contact lenses open the door to a wide range of possibilities.

SOFT LENSES

Soft lenses are a popular choice among many individuals for their comfort, simplicity in care and their range of visual designs.

RIGID GAS PERMEABLE LENSES

Rigid lenses are known for their unsurpassed clarity in vision and high oxygen permeability. They are especially ideal for certain refractive errors that require more of a customized fit.

CONTACT LENSES FOR MEDICAL CONDITIONS

Contact lenses can be a necessary component to the management of specific medical conditions.

THERAPEUTIC CONTACT LENS

Also known as a "bandage lens," this contact lens is designed to protect and aid in the healing of an eye experiencing damage from trauma or disease. It's usually a large lens which blankets the cornea, retains its moisture, and protects the surface of the cornea. This unique lens is frequently combined with precise medication delivery schedules to heal the eye.  Since the lens is well-tolerated, it provides an effective and often times pain-relieving cover for the eye.

KERATOCONUS

Keratoconus is a progressive eye disease that affects the structure of the cornea. The shape of the cornea slowly changes from the normal round shape to a cone shape, which causes vision problems.  Specialty contact lenses are customized for each individual and are designed to optimize vision.  As the eye changes, the lens design must also change.  Patients with keratoconus must be closely monitored for visual and ocular health changes on an annual and as needed basis.
