OPEN FOR OFFICE VISITS:

After careful consideration and guidance from the state of Maryland and the implementation of safety measures (such as a new air-purification system, and UVC lights and sterilization compartments), we are delighted to announce that we are resuming our full-time hours and in-office visits starting Monday, June 1 for all services. All visits must be scheduled and confirmed with our staff ahead of time. To ensure that all patients and staff remain safe and healthy, we have implemented these safety precautions. We encourage you to review them before your visit.

Virtual Medical Visits:

If you’d prefer not to come into our offices, we are also offering virtual medical visits (also known as telemedicine) through our new partners at EyecareLive, a smartphone app. You can now make an appointment to see Dr. Hannah for any of the following needs:

  • Non-emergent conditions like red eye, pink eye, red eyelid, stye, irritation.

  • Follow-up visits for contact lens, dry eye, post op, and more.

  • Remote monitoring of conditions.

  • Send secure messages to your doctor.

Our Optical Boutique is open in-person by appointment only and all appointments will be spaced out appropriately. Our opticians will continue to take care of your individual needs in a safe environment. Every frame will be sanitized between patients with a special frame cleaning instrument as well as a UVC sanitizing container. In order help us to maintain our Optical Boutique at a pristine level, we respectfully request that you allow the optician to bring the glasses to you and review these procedures we’ve implemented.

Emergencies:

As always, we are open for in-person emergency visits. Please call us to schedule an appointment if you have an emergency. For these in-person visits, we have instituted safeguards as advised by the CDC to keep each individual who enters our office protected. This includes but is not limited to sanitizing specific office areas in between patients, the use of masks and hand sanitizer, schedule and social distancing as well as our new nightly implementation of UV-C Sanitizing Technology designed to control the spread of air-borne-mediated microbial diseases, including bacteria and viruses.
